Lamy 2000 Ballpoint Pen

I have always been intrigued by the Bauhaus design of the Lamy 2000 fountain pen. It´s a modern classic and actually quite inexpensive for a fountain pen with a golden nib. The Lamy service is also outstanding and the model is constantly improved. I don´t write too well with gold nibs, however, so a ballpoint version had to do it. It blends nicely with the rest of the line and uses the same Makrolon material in its barrel construction, with a stainless front portion. Extremely lightweight and devoid of any sharp edges (except on that spring loaded clip), it is a pleasure to hold and use. Not quite a steal when bought new, though, and you are stuck with the proprietary refills from Lamy. I picked mine from the used market for only a few euros. The watch is a Maximilian Quartz with a fitting design.
