Mora 780 Triflex

One of the nicest Moras ever offered, the 780 in “Triflex” (differentially hardened carbon) steel and the corresponding series of models (760, 740 etc.) has sadly been discontinued around a year ago. They seem to have been replaced with the “Bushcraft” models. I liked their handfilling grips and not too obtrusive guards. My current 780 user rides in a kydex sheath and is modified with a few grooves in the handle as they are somewhat slippery. Sandvik stainless models have slightly thinner blades than the Triflex. I remember seeing Ray Mears even use one from the series when he taught hand drill firemaking to some native Solomon people who had sadly lost that skill due to the widespread use of matches and disposable lighters.
