Navy K 602 frame lock folding knife from China

Another copycat knife that I wanted to show you, sold with the Navy name on it, but of course based on a Benchmade design. This is one massive and huge piece. The Blade is 3mm thick hollow ground from 440C and 4.25 inches in length with a nice stone washed finish, the whole knife weighs 205 grams. It is 9.5 inches open and 5.25 inches closed.

Workmanship is very decent, there are some rough spots and uneven grinds. I can make out bronze washers, lockup is very solid with the smallest lateral play. The G10 is quite smooth. On my sample, after a few forceful openings, the lock snaps about three quarters of its thickness under the tang. Only tip down and right handed carry is possible, the detent seems trustworthy. The blade is almost shaving sharp, a little toothy.

If you never had a large folder for EDC purposes, you might give this one a try before investing in famous brand names.
