Parker Sonnet Monochrome fountain pen

I could not resist when one of these turned up in NOS condition on Ebay. The Monochrome is a highly polished, slightly decorated, steel nib version of the Sonnet. It was short lived, being produced only during 2007. This one has a fine nib. Usually not my liking, but Parker nibs tend to write a bit broader than the declaration and this one was no exception. The pen feels a bit slippery, lighter and less “solid” in the hand than my Laque version, but they actually weigh the same, slightly under an ounce. Like all Parker FPs in my experience, I find this one to be super reliable, too, and a quick starter.
