I just got this one in, but it will not be a keeper. The balance is somewhat off for my taste. Hard to describe. It´s not a chopper in the classic sense and not a handy do-it-all. However, I have to say that workmanship of the 318 gram flat ground “long knife” is top notch and the grip is design genius, with a well made leather sheath on top. I will have to take a longer look at the more compact Druids, as the prices are fantastic for what you get. I just wish they all had ambidextrous sheaths from man-made materials. It should also not make an ideal knife for the novice as there is no dedicated fingerguard. Guards can get in the way, I know, but let´s imagine a survival situation when you´re tired and in a rush to get a shelter or fire made. Some kind of finger protection makes sense.
